Our Coventry
Our Coventry is a newly funded project by Coventry City Council Migration team as of July 2024. The project is a legacy of the previous My Coventry and STEP projects and an extension of the excellent migrant and refugee support Coventry provides.
As a partner in the Our Coventry project St Francis Employability we will be focusing on supporting participants with employability and language development, supporting beneficiaries closer to sustainable employment and financial stability. We will do this by providing accredited and non accredited workplace skills courses with embedded ESOL aimed at improving their knowledge of employment in the UK, helping them to gain or improve job specific skills and also to help promote integration within the UK and local community. Beneficiaries will also have a designated mentor whose role it is to support and guide them through their time with us, creating an individual action plan that guides a beneficiary to their personal goals.
