Building Bridges: Learning, Community, and Belonging in Our ESOL Classroom

'In our classroom, every day brings new challenges and opportunities for growth. One lesson stands out because it highlights not only language acquisition but also the power of community. We’re working with asylum seeker students, many of whom come from diverse backgrounds and varying levels of English proficiency. Yet, despite these differences, we create a classroom atmosphere where everyone helps each other, forming what I can only describe as a “band of brothers.”
