Staff Culture Insight 4, is from our amazing Playworker, Shazia ❤️
Mine is a Pakistani culture We value and respect parents and elders
We are very welcoming to guests
Our symbols are the colour green and the kalima represents us (testimony that there is no God other than the one who created everything and Muhammad oh is one of his many 120k plus messengers.
We where loose clothing (shalwar Kameez) and try to keep our hair covered
The next part, kindly (and humorously) added by her husband Asif 😀
Nothing gives us a much joy though than making our husbands lives miserable--We hate to see them happy and unfortunately sometimes we are at work but we make up for it when we get home.
Asif kindly provided his take on Culture ❤️
If I may , on the Englishness side (which I consider myself to be) I would say
1) we believe in justice and fair play - anything else just ain’t cricket
2) we generally adhere principles of stoicism: stiff upper lip although as with most things English we r evolving to share emotions more readily.
3) we accept people for who they are and welcome them.
4) we live rooting for the underdog
5) we are open and fixated on any one particular thing or way of being which looks us to incorporate many cultures and ways of living into our country - curries, mans read being two examples.
6) as a people we are much like our weather - neither too hot nor too cold. Not extreme in anything - don’t rock my boat… I could go on more but appreciate I am But even part of this group and when ll is said and done culture characteristic are rarely unique to any one set of people. Thank you
