Help Us Bring Joy to Local Families This Christmas: Food Donations Needed for Christmas Hampers!

As Christmas approaches, we’re gearing up to provide festive food hampers to families in need through our social supermarket. The holiday season can be especially difficult for those who struggle to make ends meet, and we want to ensure that people in our community can enjoy a warm, nourishing meal and feel the joy of the season. But we can’t do it alone—we need your help!

By donating food items for our hampers, you’ll be making a direct impact on the lives of families, seniors, and individuals facing food insecurity. Each item you contribute goes a long way toward ensuring that our shelves are stocked with essentials, treats, and everything in between for the holidays.

What to Donate:

To make the hampers extra special, we’re looking for both everyday essentials and a few festive extras. Here are some ideas of what we need:

Non-perishable food items: Canned vegetables, soups, beans, pasta, rice, canned fruit, and boxed cereals.

Festive treats: Chocolates, biscuits, mince pies, fruitcake, and other holiday-themed snacks.

Christmas related treats: Christmas crackers, selection boxes, nuts and Christmas puddings

Your contributions will make a big difference for those who rely on our social supermarket to make ends meet.

How to Donate:

It’s easy to donate, and every item counts! You can drop off food items direct to us, at St Francis Church. We’re also happy to accept monetary donations if that’s easier for you,, and we’ll put it toward buying essential items for our hampers.

Drop-off location: St Francis Church, Links Road, Coventry, CV6 3DQ

Donation hours: Monday to Friday, 9am-3pm

Final donation date: Please drop off your donations by Friday 13th December so we can organise and distribute them before Christmas.

Spread the Word:

Please share this post with friends, family, and co-workers

! The more people who know about our food drive, the more we’ll be able to support local families in need.

Together, let’s make this Christmas a little brighter for those who need it most. Thank you for helping us spread warmth and joy this holiday season!
