Our incredible volunteers have been busy cooking delicious homemade pakoras using potatoes grown in our very own garden, and they tasted amazing! We simply wouldn’t be able to run our Community Café without the dedication, enthusiasm and hard work of our wonderful volunteers. They put so much care into everything they do and make a real difference to our community every day. One of our students recently drew a beautiful picture of a phoenix a mythical bird and a very important symbol for both Coventry and the people we support at Saint Francis Employability. We are fortunate that Dr Bike aka Andrew is attending St Francis Employability over the next few weeks to offer FREE bike safety checks to keep you and your family cycling safe during the holidays. Thank you to everyone who made the family fun day for refugee week 2026 a huge success, estimates are over 300 people attended the event that saw organisations from across Coventry come together to put on activities, information stands and live performances of music, dance and poetry all in celebration of Coventry's Diversity during refugee week. Now that we are seeing the sunny weather arrive, we are starting to see the hard work of volunteers and staff come to fruition in our allotment. Having already harvested fresh garlic, we now have tomatoes and broad beans growing, and the beans are ready to be picked and used in one of the delicious meals at our community café.
