Managing changes to your circumstances
Remember you must report any changes in your circumstances as soon as they happen to the DWP or Coventry Council, even if you're not sure whether they affect your benefits. This ensures you are not being overpaid benefits that you would need to pay back at a later date or it could mean an increase to your income.
Examples of changes you must report include if:
o You move house
o Who lives with you changes
o If you have a health issue (you may be entitled to more money)
o Your rent changes
o Your income changes (either increases or decreases)
o The amount of savings or assets you have changes
o The people you live with changes
o Adult children start college, University or work
