The staff at St Francis Employability want to say a big thank you to Dr Bike aka Andrew, for coming and delivering 4 sessions of free bike repair to our clients. Many of our clients rely on their bikes to attend their classes, volunteering or employment appointments, also with the current economic situation bike repairs become less and less of a priority over essentials so Dr Bike offering his skills for free making sure peoples bikes are safe to use and kept in good condition is integral to peoples ability to move forward in life.

Andrew had this to say about his time at St Francis Employability.

"I’ve really enjoyed being at St Francis over the past few weeks. Everyone’s been welcoming, and it’s been great chatting with the clients while getting their bikes running smoothly again. A lot of people rely on their bikes every day, so being able to help keep them safe and working well genuinely matters.

The sessions were made possible thanks to funding from Cycling UK’s Big Bike Revival, which meant we could offer repairs and maintenance for free — a huge help for anyone who’d struggle to afford it otherwise.

It’s been a cracking few weeks and I’m looking forward to coming back again."
